NATA 2027 Eligibility Criteria
Every candidate must satisfy the conditions below before applying. Your candidature is liable to cancellation if you do not meet the eligibility criteria.
Educational Qualification
As per the Council of Architecture regulation, no candidate shall be admitted to a B.Arch course unless they meet one of the following conditions:
Option 1 – Class 12 (10+2) Route:
- Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects
- Along with any one of the following: Chemistry / Biology / Technical Vocational Subject / Computer Science / Information Technology / Informatics Practices / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies
- Candidates are generally required to secure at least 50% aggregate marks in their qualifying examination (10+2 or Diploma) along with the prescribed subject requirements. However, the minimum percentage requirement may vary depending on the admission policy of individual colleges, universities, reservation categories, and the latest Council of Architecture (CoA) guidelines.Students are advised to verify the specific eligibility criteria of their target colleges before applying for admission.
- Minimum Marks Requirement for Reserved Categories: As per previous admission guidelines, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories may be eligible with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination. Option 2 – Diploma Route:
- Passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject

Note on the third subject: Only ONE additional subject from the approved list (Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / IT / Informatics Practices / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Technical Vocational Subject) is required alongside Physics and Mathematics. Critical Note – Mathematics is Mandatory: Unlike UCEED and NID, NATA requires Mathematics in Class 12. Students from Commerce or Arts streams WITHOUT Mathematics are NOT eligible for NATA 2027.
Students appearing in their Class 12 board examination in 2027 are also eligible to apply for NATA 2027, provided they meet the aggregate requirement at the time of admission.
