MITID has successfully transitioned into being a constituent of MIT ART, DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY established by government of Maharashtra through ACT XXXIV 2015. With a decade plus of excellence and pursuance of one of our future aspirations, MIT Institute of Design with 1300+ creative minds on campus and 1000+ alumni professionals have added a further dimension to the programmes of design learning at our campus.

Scholarship:

In an effort to make quality design education more affordable and reachable to students from economically weaker sections, the institute offers Scholarships to all new, needy entrants. The MIT Institute of Design grants full or partial scholarships to 5% of the total students each year. The eligibility of the scholarships would depend upon the performance of the student and his/her financial needs. The interview panel will decide whether one is eligible for the scholarship.

The scholarship application form should be availed by the applicant from the Institute office after getting admission to the Institute. Along with the duly filled scholarship form, one will have to attach necessary documents showing the income statements of the family members / guardians.

Loan:

The Institute has an exclusive tie up with CREDILA AN HDFC LTD. COMPANY for providing educational loan to students securing admission to the institute. Disbursement of the loan is as per the banks’ terms and conditions.

It has a dedicated Industry Relation Department, holding an excellent track record of placing students in reputed companies. It focuses on bringing the most relevant professional opportunities for the learners. The department creates a platform that brings diverse sectors of industry and learners together. The Industry Relations team in co-ordination with faculty members, provides guidance to learners to make judicious choices about their career and professional development.

Over the last decades, MIT ID has developed a strong relationship with national and global organizations who regularly offer internships, sponsored projects and placement opportunities for the students.

CAMPUS PLACEMENTS:

Students who participate for campus placement are final year students who have recently graduated and are readily available to join.

Graduation Project:

It is mandatory for final year students to undertake live project as part of their Grad project. The duration of graduation project varies from 16-20 weeks starting from December of every year.The students are expected to work under the guidance of an industry mentor and a faculty mentor. Industry mentor is typically a professional designer who can guide the student in applying their design intervention skills to solve problems. Summer Internship:

Summer internship is typically undertaken by students who are in their penultimate graduating year. Duration is of 2 months starting from May, every year. The purpose of an internship for our students is not only to learn but also to demonstrate their ability to apply the knowledge and skills which they have gained throughout their educational years.
