About NITTE University

Nitte (Deemed to be University) has its roots in a group of Institutions established by the Nitte Education Trust. The Trust was established in 1979 by one of India’s respected Statesman, Late Justice KS Hegde, Supreme Court Judge and Speaker of Lok Sabha, with the mission of empowering rural youth through quality education and healthcare. The Trust has established 36 institutions spread in three campuses at Nitte, Mangalore and Bangalore. It offers education in diverse areas of learning including health professions education, engineering, management, humanities, general education, vocational training, and school/pre-university education.

Nitte School of Architecture, Planning & Design (NSAPD), established in 2016, is a constituent institution of Nitte (Deemed to be University). Located in Bengaluru, NSAPD is dedicated to nurturing future-ready Architects, Planners, and Designers through a distinctive techno-creative education model that integrates technical rigor, creativity, research, and social responsibility.

Approved by statutory bodies including the Council of Architecture (COA), Institute of Town Planners of India (ITPI), AICTE, and the Government of Karnataka, NSAPD offers undergraduate programmes in Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Planning, and Bachelor of Design, along with a postgraduate programme in Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning (M.Plan). Nitte School of Fashion Technology and Interior Design (NSFTID) was established in the year 2016 under the Nitte University, with an aim to produce competent professionals and entrepreneurs in the field of Fashion Designing and Interior Designing. NSFTID is located in Bengaluru which is an easily accessible knowledge destination. The Institution is a constituent college of Nitte (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, since October 2024 and currently offers Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Diploma courses in Fashion Design & Interior Design
