    Candidates must have completed the final examination 10+2 system (Central or State Board) or equivalent from a recognized board(AISSE/ICSE/CBSE).

 

  • National Defence Academy’s Joint Services Wing two-year course
  • National Institute of Open Schooling’s Senior Secondary School examination (minimum five subjects)
  • Any public school/Board/University examination (India or foreign)
  • H.S.C. vocational examination
  • GCE Advanced (A) level examination (London, Cambridge, or Sri Lanka)

    Candidates must have completed one of the following:
  • 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree: Any specialization from a recognized Indian university, all exams (including backlogs) completed by 28 June 2025
  • 4-Year Diploma: Full-time in Design/Fine Arts/Applied Arts/Architecture, completed by 28 June 2025
  • 3-Year Bachelor’s Degree: Any specialization from a recognized Indian university, completed by August 2024

 

NID Application & registration 2026: Document and Fee

The entire application process for NID DAT 2026 is only done online.

There are four stages involved in the NID application process, i.e., online registration, filling out the application form, uploading documents, and paying the application fee.

  • Visit the official website of NID, i.e., www.nid.edu
  • Click on the “New Registration” tab.
  • Provide a valid mobile number, email ID, and Date of Birth, and click on the submit button.
  • After registration, login credentials will be emailed to the registered email ID and mobile number.
  • Re-login to the portal using the credentials received after registration.
  • Fill out the application form by entering all the details correctly.
  • Upload all the necessary documents in the specified format.
  • Pay the application fee either online or offline mode.

As per the official notification, the NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) is conducted in two stages – Prelims and Mains – for both B.Des and M.Des programs.
