Design Quotient Labs (DQ Labs) was established in 2007 by two designers from IIT Delhi, Umesh Kumar GL and Shaun D’Sa.
Working in major international automobile companies, they realized that youngsters abroad had a far better understanding of design thinking than those of similar age in India. They set up DQ Labs to inculcate design thinking in young students. Along the way, they also helped aspiring students prepare for entrance exams to major design, fashion and architecture institutes.
Since 2007, DQ Labs has helped thousands of students enter the careers of their choice. DQ Labs strives to create a better design understanding in the student alongside the exam preparation. As a result DQ Labs has a far higher success rate in all creative entrance exams than other coaching centres. DQ Labs has also been at the forefront of educational tech innovations. Its unique online educational portal, DQ Edge, has won awards from NASSCOM, CII Design Summit and the UK e-assessment awards. The technology is awaiting patents.
